Ottawa Independent Companions is a Collective for Independent Sex Workers, primarily engaged in in-person work, in the Ottawa & surrounding areas. It is run entirely by and for sex workers.
Our collective is made up of a diverse group of professional Sex Workers from across the spectrum, including: Full Service Companions, Erotic Massage providers, BDSM & Pro-Domme/Pro-Sub providers, Somatic & Sacred Sexuality providers, and more!
OIC members share collective core vales that uphold respect, diversity, inclusion, autonomy & professionalism in our lives as Sex Workers.

Ottawa Independent Companions’ goal is to foster a sense of community among local Independent Sex Workers and provide a warm and welcoming space to collectively organize with others in our industry.
Independent Sex Work can be isolating! We believe that our collective power is more valuable when we work together rather than when we work alone.
To stay connected with each other we use an online private members-only platform called Slack, as our central hub for communications. This is where we connect on industry related issues, discuss OIC activities and matters, nurture social networks and support systems and cultivate safety structures.
While we are an advertising platform, this function is secondary to our true purpose and what we strive to offer our community.

OIC is a volunteer lead organization made up of various committees and administrators.

Many hands make light work, and keeping OIC operating smoothly requires all hands on deck!
If you are an OIC member who’s interested in helping lighten the load by volunteering your time as a committee member, there’s a seat at the table for you, no pre-requisites required!
Feel free to attend one of OIC’s monthly committee meetings to get a feel for what’s involved & understand the general responsibilities of being a committee member. These meetings are open to ALL OIC members who wish to attend.
While committee meetings are structured around the operations of OIC, they do also offer the opportunity to socialize with other OIC members and form new friendships within the community.
Committee meetings take place both in person and virtually via Zoom, typically once a month.
